On 01-March-2017, the GoGreen family came together for one of our most meaningful rides — the Save Our Lakes Cleanup Cycling Campaign to Benniganahalli Lake. This was not just a ride; it was a statement — a call to protect Bangalore's precious water bodies that are disappearing at an alarming rate.
What made this day truly special was the beautiful combination of purpose and celebration. After the lake cleanup ride, we joined hands with Prayuktha Foundation to distribute organic Holi colours — celebrating the festival of colours the eco-friendly way, without harming our environment or water bodies.
Benniganahalli Lake, one of Bangalore's urban lakes, has faced severe encroachment and pollution over the years. By riding to this lake and raising awareness, GoGreenIn continued its long-standing mission of protecting Bangalore's green and blue lungs.
The partnership with Prayuktha Foundation for organic Holi colours was a powerful message — that we can celebrate our festivals joyfully while still being responsible stewards of our environment. Chemical Holi colours are one of the biggest contributors to lake and water body pollution during the festival season.
