Go Green India proudly supported Team Abhaya's Cyclothon on November 10, 2024, a powerful awareness ride protesting against sexual violence following the tragic Kolkata incident involving a junior doctor. This event brought together 87 cyclists from various cycling groups including Go Green, WCC, and Fearless Cycling Group, all united for a common cause - creating a safer society.
The cyclothon began and ended at Cubbon Park, covering routes through Mayo Hall, Ulsoor Lake, and Cubbon Road. The event was more than just a ride; it was a statement against sexual violence and a call for action to ensure a rape-free India.
A signature campaign was organized during the event, which will be submitted to the Home Minister of Karnataka to push for concrete action on making our society safer for everyone.
Team Abhaya remains committed to its mission of ensuring a rape-free India, with ongoing efforts across multiple states including Karnataka, West Bengal, Assam, Goa, and Maharashtra. The organization continues to invite individuals from all walks of life to join in creating a safer and more respectful environment for everyone.
